TRANSPORT

You can arrive here only by train via Moscow. There is railway line Moscow - Vorkuta. The town Inta situated 12 km away from railway station Upper Inta. You needn't go to Inta before route, only if you need make documents to visit National park "Yugud va". (If you are planned to visit territory of National park 'Yugud va" and receiving person couldn't form solution documents without you). But after route certainly it is better to visit steam bath in Inta. So if you are not in a need to visit Inta before route, you provision and equipment are ready - we are going to the mountains. There is only 1 ground road made by gold-digger in the middle of 80-th years. This road used by wheeled transport  and cross-country vehicle too.
   

WHEELED TRANSPORT

Among wheeled transport the "Ural" car is out of competition. Of course, if you will use "YAZ" car you can get to place "Crossing" through Kozhim river or Lemva river, but you can't across this rivers. And you must rafting this rivers along more visited places. If you use "GAZ - 66" you can across this Kozhim and Lemva if the level of water isn't big or if "Ural" car will take in tow your "GAZ-66"  - you'll get to the start point of your route but without guarantees. But "Ural-bus" can across rivers 1,5 m depth or more if its air-taking filter made above. Only "Trekol"  in winter and "MTLB" in summer can ride quickly than "Ural-bus"on our roads. It takes 8 houres to go to Zhelanny settlement, from this point most of tourist groups start their routes. The "Ural-bus" has only 1 lack - it afraid swampy places in which all caterpillar transport can ride very easy. The "Ural-bus" can contain 12 person with comfort, 22 person without comfort.
  There are alternative transport - "Trekol" and "Strunnik". The "Trecol" can ride quickly, it is comfortable. Its lack is - low drawing characteritics on small rapidity, so necessary on crossing swampy places. All "Trekols" being in Inta don't take part in commercial carriage. What about "Strannik": it simple ride always you need. Both kind of this transport have big wheels with low pressure and can have difficulty during river crossing. They swim in those places where the "Ural-bus" goes on the bottom. If the stream is quickly and depth, especially in spring floods. Don't warry about it if your driver know convenient places for crossing or it is necessaty to use special resources. The main prerogative of this kind of transport is its low exploited price with sufficient high crossable and this transport become serious competitor for caterpillar transport. The capacity of "Trekol" with luggage is 4-6 person, of "Strannik" - 3-4 person. 
  

    CATERPILLAR TRANSPORT (CROSS COUNTRY VEHICLE)

Really the "GTS" and the "MTLB" take part in furnishing of tourist groups. I drive tourists on "GTS". Its capacity is  5 person with luggage. It go slowly than "MTLB", but warranty can cross problem places. The "MTLB" has weight 12 tons, "MTLB" can be draged only by "MTLB". The "MTLB" prerogative is - high middle speed. But his price can be compared with heicopter. The main prerogative of all caterpillar transport is in that fact: all roads in mountains were built for caterpillar transport. If cross country vehicle forsake road it become slowly going caterpillar. The lack of caterpillar transport is high price of voyage becouse of short time of services its details. But for 10-person group the total price of "MTLB" voyage isn't big. 
    

SNOWMOBILES

It is possible to use "Ural-BUS" in winter too, but only on roads. It is possible go by cross country vehicle but if snow depth isn't more than 1 m. It is possible to go by "Trekol" on road or "Strunnik" on winded tundra. But if you really want go through difficult relief or forest or deep snow it is better to use snowmobile. Especiely if the main goal of your travell means for you more than uneasy riding on snowmobile or in its slegde. It is not easy to ride on snowmobile because of some reasons: when it is coldy - the driver freezes, when it is warm - the mover warms, when snow is soft - the snowmobile buries, when snow is hard - snowmobiles details is breaking, when snow is sticky - the snowmobile changes to ice monstrum. Very interested that may be when all facts are union: driver freezing, mover warming and icy snowmobile fallen down from hard wave of snow  buring in deep snow. And there is really prerogative of this kind of transport that youself  can drag it everywhere and every time. Especiely if you won't economise your time and forces. I met forsaken cars, cross country vehicle but didn't met forsaken and stuck fast snowmobiles. 

 There is another supplement - don't shure you will drive here on import miracle. Everybody have this snowmobiles are solvent people, but not so solvent to trust such snowmobile to unacquaintance people. It is really difficulty to drive on snowmobile here. So you are supposed to meet by only old hard-working  snowmobile "Buran". It is  easy to repair it the same to break. This is our know-how, particularly in ability hands. I said not about only my hands, but about absolute majority of snowmobile drivers. Because it is impossible to dwell here otherwise.
 

MOTORBOATS

We have no any roads to some rivers.  It is possible to go to upperhead of this rivers by motorboats or if you haven't got deficit of time by canoe. But our century is very transient and unhasty travelling are going by past. Most of tourist  want to get fastest result such as trophy fish or wildfowl. So I tell about motorboats. There are many kinds of motorboats for determined conditions: bloated plastic and rubber boats are ideal for rafting down coarse rivers from upperheads to low part with their standing water.   The boats from aluminium are better for the rivers of Chernusheva rigde and Bol'shezemel'skaya tundra. The stream of this rivers is not fast, the depths are big and middle, there aren't big quantity of stony rapids, sometimes may be heavy water and the distances are large. In such places mountains wooden boats are  named "shnyaga". Its are narrow and long and easy go upstream, its have min draught of motor , so its can furnish rapids of such rivers as Kozhim (to Limbeko-U river junction) and Kos'-U (to Indusey river junction). There is intermediate variant between  rubber boats  and sport vassel - it is katamaran with motor. You can cross compound and rapid upperheads in sport variant rowing by katamaran and in low parts by motor.
